May 2013: A new GillisPhotos.com is completed! When I launched this site in 2005, I was scripting the site in basic HTML and Perl. That same year, I upgraded to the incredible Ktools Photostore package, and updated it each time a new Photostore release became available. Now, a brand new version of this remarkable software, redesigned and rewritten from the ground up, is available and installed here, which will offer tons of features and better ease of use. Now that the software upgrade is completed, I have customized, tweaked, and reloaded the two thousand six hundred or so images back on GillisPhotos.com. This was a nice opportunity to refine keywords and descriptions, do some needed spring cleaning and weeding, and showcase the best of the best this site has to offer. I’m proud of the quality of the images of New England I offer here, and invite you to please check back often. My site features a CONSTANTLY expanding catalog of new Boston and New England images, all at a great price -- I'm always adding new photos. Welcome! Browse! Enjoy! The New England Photo Gallery

I started Gillis Photos in 2005 to share my unique view of New England, particularly Boston, where I grew up and work, and New Hampshire and Maine, vacation places that have become second homes. I'm not another guy who slapped together a web site and uploaded a bunch of images shot on a camera phone. I love photography, and when people started buying my images for books, calendars, and just to enjoy, I created this site. Gillis Photos is not my full time job (I’ve been a professional computer geek since 1988, web designer since 1998, a regularly published op/ed columnist since 1996, and a published author since 2005) but photography has become a passion. I offer you the opportunity to check out my unique photographic perspective. Take a look, and you will soon find that somewhere in this always-expanding catalog of 2400+ images is the one that is perfect for you -- perfect for framing, perfect for your multimedia presentation, web site, your book cover, or other use. My prices are FAR more reasonable than the stock agencies, and my license fee per photo is only $25.00, and inexpensive print images, suitable for framing, are available as well. Not rocket science, but adding galleries, new pages and photos was tedious and time consuming. Photostore proved to be a Godsend.
